Just a Whiff...
A good fairy has gifted me this little perfume, wanting to do something nice for me, as I mentioned that I'm back on parfumo and wish for a few new treasures.... Next time, I will name my wishes explicitly. And I should never hint again that I desire a few more subtle fragrances!
To everyone: Be careful with your wishes, they might just come true.
I've been contemplating for days whether I should write a review... well, since no one else has dared to, I’ll do it.
For heaven's sake, this is not a critique; it certainly doesn't deserve that.
Par Jour means something like "For every day. Day by day." It certainly fits that description. With Par Jour, you won't hurt anyone, not even yourself, because your fellow humans won't faint from the sillage you leave behind. Someone would have to be very close to you to catch a whiff, which would be problematic with today's social distancing rules.
I sprayed it on and thought: "Ohh, nice mandarin!" Then it was gone. Every time! Am I scent-blind to rose and jasmine?
I chewed on one of my snakes for a while, scratched my head, well, you know what a woman does when she doesn't know what to do next.
Then it came back, quietly, subtly. Through the back room. Slightly woody, a bit creamy, unsweet.
Par Jour is very understated, veeeery subtle, pleasant, and suitable for everyday wear. Still, it doesn't completely disappear. To claim it is gone after 2 hours would be unfair.
For all those who enjoy skin-close fragrances.
Suitable for walking the dog, even in sweatpants and hiking shoes.
By the way, the bottle is now rose metallic, not as depicted above.
