Fin de Siecle Libertine Fragrance 2019 Eau de Parfum

I’m so impressed. Fin de Siècle has two notes that can be really iffy on me—civet and oakmoss—yet it’s eminently wearable. It’s a vintage smelling fragrance, makes me think of the 1950s. It smells like something my grandmother or great aunts would have worn at that time. There’s a powdery rose plus very slight fruitiness from the bergamot, black current and bitter orange. Then a background of nice woods that emerge while the fragrance keeps its original fruity rose, just deeper. It’s heavy enough that I’d only wear it at night and in cooler weather, and I do t think I’d wear it all the time, but I admire the artistry and there’s something quite compelling about it. ETA: The longevity on this!! On my sweater, I can still smell it going strong 24 hours later!
