Radiant Ahrenshoop

I tested Eleganza Luminosa in February 2014 and only gave it 60%.
I can no longer understand that today.
Time and place are now different. I am in vacation mode, the sun is shining, the sea is just a few hops away.
Following a tip, I visited a high-end perfumery and was asked about my fragrance preferences, bergamot, sandalwood....

Among other things, the opulent, slightly ostentatious bottle from Linari was now in front of me. The brand was unknown to me. As mentioned, the test was 480 days ago, and it is mainly due to the many subsequent fragrance samples but primarily the 'low' rating at that time that it was no longer in my memory.

In my notes from back then, I had noted gourmand and sweet.

Gourmand is nothing here at all.
Fresh bergamot, lemon, and orange stand in contrast to jasmine and freesia, underpinned by a bitter green. This suits me very well. Too green scents give me headaches. Too much sweetness is also not my thing, but here it does not take center stage due to the juxtaposition with the citrus notes. The powdery, gentle iris has a calming effect.
I cannot detect any prominent lily of the valley, and I can only sense the rose.
The base with a hint of patchouli and musk rounds off the amber-colored woody warmth.
Eleganza Luminosa is for me a fresh but also muted, contrasting floral summer scent.
It lasts about 5 hours on me.

The bottle is very high-quality, luxuriously crafted. I don’t necessarily need that in this size. But I like the wooden cap, the colors, and overall it is harmonious.

Dear Esther19, thank you for the tip. Thus, I have acquired a fragrance that will always remind me of this vacation.

Nice little scent, but I miss an "aha" effect. You have that through the vacation memories, though. I can totally relate to that.

Oh yes - I'm very familiar with the different perceptions and the need to adjust ratings. Maybe it's the vacation, the weather, or just growing maturity - who knows... If only the Linaris weren't so expensive...!

You see - I know the place and the perfume shop, but not this scent... I'll have to check it out. Yes, sometimes reviews change, rarely very drastically - but still noticeably.

I only gave it 60% too... should I give it another try? I've also experienced that I perceive fragrances quite differently after some time. :-o

I know all about multiple tests, it's often a surprise. I don't know Linari at all, but that's going to change now. Thanks, traveler! :-)

There are days when my nose acts up :o) But the opposite happens too. And since you like it, it’s going on the wishlist.

I can only agree with Turandot. Sounds so tempting, there's still the whole brand to discover :).

I'll add the entire brand to my wishlist. I haven't really explored Linari yet.
