Thanks to Bosworth. His proximity to Trumpers Curzon certainly gives him an advantage with me. The combination of clove and labdanum is almost perfectly achieved here. It’s herbaceous and resinous (underscored by the bright birch and almost bitter herbs) yet elegant (with the labdanum enhanced by leather). Frankincense resins, amber, and balsam smooth it out. It’s a bit softer than Curzon, which is why I’m giving it a slight deduction in the B rating.
