What does one write about a fragrance that smells like many others? Should it receive a scathing review? Should one hold back their comments? Or should one just write "something" to keep the dear test soul at peace? I simply cannot decide and choose a combination of everything!
Now, Vista Sul Mare is, as the name suggests, a summer scent with the "marine notes" that I love so much! I will spare the reader my opinion on these notes, as I have expressed it often enough already.
This fragrance is situated somewhere between Aqva Bvlgari and L'Eau d'Issey. Despite the abundance of fragrance components, none of the notes stands out boldly. The scent also does not take any great olfactory leaps, but rather lingers quietly and subtly on my arm, and after about 2 hours, it is completely gone!
VSM evokes no emotions in me. Not that it is poorly composed, no, it is simply interchangeable like many of these summer fragrances, and that across the board! If one is looking for a scent with this theme, then L'Eau d'Issey or Aqua di Gio would be the way to go; despite the mentioned notes, they have that certain something and are significantly cheaper.
Not that one misunderstands me. I am certainly willing to spend over 100.00 € for a fragrance, but then I expect an Aha- and not a Na-Ja-Experience!
