Is comparison the end of happiness . . .

. . . or is it just my nose that is disturbed?
Akkad starts fresh, but less hesperidic than very artificially cinnamony.
Inevitably, a completely different scent comes to mind. I take my time and Akkad unfolds dark, balsamic and pleasantly resinous. Gentle incense wafts around.

Fortunately for me, the patchouli remains inconspicuous and neither a disturbing sweetness nor an exuberant masculinity develops. Although I am probably on the more masculine side with my fragrance preferences anyway.

I can't resist and apply the scent I have memorized to the back of my hand.
Let more time pass, and yes, Akkad and Crimson Rocks give me a very similar scent impression, both at the beginning and at the end. (Dark cinnamon - perhaps the clary sage in play - vs. light cinnamon) Whereby the Akkad is much rounder, darker and more finely tuned.

If I didn't already have Crimson Rocks, which will certainly take some time to use up, Akkad would certainly be an option for me!
Many thanks to MartialScents for the testing opportunity.
