A unisex surprise
You surprise me. An unknown sample, from a label I don't know, puts me up.
Without much research and no idea what to expect, I spray you on the arm and write something down here.
A light start, unisex, fresh, minimally tart and soft at the same time, with a looming depth and a minimal, subtle sweetness greets me.
Immediately enraptured and with a slightly raised eyebrow, I continue and wait.
Quickly, within 10-15 minutes, something woody-sweet begins to creep onto my skin. The fragrance gains sweetness, which never prevails. Something peppery and cool is always present, although a warm and spicy-sweet woody cream is in the foreground. The fresh start sets the stage for the base notes and fades into a gentle freshness in the background.
Later, more green wood joins in, it becomes a little soapy, as if some masculine shaving soap had been hidden under the fine cream. The sweetness becomes deeper, rounder and more present, but the other notes never allow the fragrance to tilt in a clearly sweet direction.
On my skin, it is absolutely balanced. Wood, some grown-up cream, a little sweetness, later some coffee, flanked by a cool spiciness.
It paints a picture: fine, luxurious men's shaving cream, with cedar and vetiver, meets an expensive body cream for women, fresh-woody, creamy, with an adult sweetness that is never too much.
These two very well-groomed people are enjoying a coffee in the shade on a warm day. They are sitting under a tree whose bark smells pleasant and earthy in the sun. The chic crowd gathers in the park, perhaps to watch a polo match. Everything is fine, never too much or too loud, clean and special without attracting attention rudely.
