A unisex surprise
You surprise me. An unknown sample from an unfamiliar label has reached me. Without much research and any idea of what to expect, I spray you on my arm and jot down some thoughts here.
A light start, unisex, fresh, slightly sour yet soft, with an emerging depth and a fine, minimal sweetness greets me. Instantly delighted and with a slightly raised eyebrow, I continue and wait.
Quickly, within 10-15 minutes, something woody-sweet begins to creep in on my skin. The scent gains sweetness, which never overpowers. A peppery, cool note is always present, although a warm and spicy-sweet, woody cream is at the forefront. The fresh start clears the stage for the base notes and transitions into a gentle freshness in the background.
Later, more green wood joins in, becoming a bit soapy, as if beneath the fine cream there was some masculine shaving soap hidden. The sweetness deepens, becomes rounder and more pronounced, yet the other notes prevent the fragrance from tipping into an overtly sweet direction.
On my skin, it feels absolutely balanced. Wood, a bit of adult cream, a touch of sweetness, later some coffee, flanked by a cool spiciness.
