Airy Incense
I was kindly sent a sample of the fragrance.

I am currently very excited about it.
October 1st, 6 pm - Belvedere, Villa Borghese - Rome is an ethereal, resinous incense scent.
I find it wonderfully suitable for summer. Unsweet and light, rather fleeting, but present. A wonderful change from the usual citrus summer candidates.

Upon spraying, the scent immediately felt familiar to me - patchouli. I suspect an 80s patchouli spice fragrance, like those found in tea and spice shops of that era.
It quickly becomes very resinous. Incense comes to the forefront. Accompanied by an airy, slightly aquatic note. Like clean air after a thunderstorm.
This clean, unsweet incense-patchouli-air mixture totally fascinates me.
Iris is only very subtly present and also brings a bit of coolness.

The sillage is strong at first, but after 30 minutes it becomes quite close to the skin. For several hours, a light, airy, and woody incense blend remains perceptible.
I don't smell any rum here.
The fragrance is suitable for both men and women.

Thank you for the sample and this olfactory experience.

The scent is not particularly striking. It could rather be used as an Eau de Cologne. In summer, in hot temperatures, October 1st, 6 pm - Belvedere, Villa Borghese - Rome is surely very refreshing.

Wonderful, delicate, fresh, cuddly
Many acquaintances tell me that they need "at least" 2ml or something similar to really get to know a fragrance. For me, it seems to go in the opposite direction. I only rubbed a drop of this beautiful water on my forearms - that was just right. Lately, I've been feeling this way with all fragrances.

I find this combination of citrus and resinous notes really beautiful. When I read "aquatic notes," I almost got scared, but there's no Cool Water stench here, just a subtle, chlorinated freshness. That might sound unpleasant, but it's really lovely and fits well with the top note. I suspect that the iris contributes a slightly powdery touch... which doesn't come off heavy or cloying, but simply cuddly and beautiful. When I read the fragrance notes, I also believe I can perceive a subtle rum note. This adds a slightly gourmand component to the citrus side of the fragrance, which stands alongside the fresh and slightly resinous aspect. From the listed base notes, I don't directly perceive anything. The combination of notes even creates a soft-sweet impression for me that somewhat resembles sandalwood.

I really like the fragrance. Does it remind me of an Italian landscape? Hmmm... with a little help from marketing, perhaps. Lemon trees and withering leaves, something pleasantly aquatic... that could be right. Beautiful.

The longer I smell the fragrance, the more I suspect that Azuron is responsible for this "aquatic note." What stinks in Secretions Magnifique for some, including me, comes across differently here. Just a guess, don't hold me to it ;)
