Love at the Second Sniff

I recently discovered my love for scents and perfumes.
Recently, based on recommendations, I sprayed Replica by the fireplace on a scent strip, smelled it, and promptly threw the strip in the trash. I didn't want to smell like I had been sitting in the smoke of a campfire. Everyone knows that smell when you come home after a campfire and take off your clothes, and the scent hits you as you pull off your sweater.
At home, however, the scent didn't leave my mind, so I read more reviews, and many said to wait 10 minutes and then smell it again :)
So I did… I went back to the perfumery, this time I sprayed the scent directly on my arm, gave it a few minutes, and fell so in love. It develops into a slightly sweet and woody scent on me, and the warm vanilla blends with my skin. I kept smelling my arm again and again before going to bed ;D
I'm currently looking online for the best deal on the perfume so I can finally wear it during this cold, rainy, white season :)

I know that all too well!

Dear Danicaa, you should wait at least 10 minutes for every perfume test, unless you can't stand the top notes and know they will never be bearable. Many perfumes only reveal their true character after 20 minutes, and most really good ones are composed in such a way that the right balance is achieved even after 30 minutes. This means that volatile substances can seem way too loud at first. Best regards.

Hey, I know that now too :) You're absolutely right. Don't judge too quickly!
I actually did that test right at the beginning of my fragrance journey and didn't know any better ;D
Since I gave the scent a second chance, it's been one of my absolute favorites 💜

I felt the same way. I sprayed it on and thought, "ugh, what is this?" but just 5 minutes later... "OMG, this is amazing!" 😂😂

Yes.. with this scent, it's really true that you need to give it a few minutes for that initial extremely smoky note to fade :) and then it becomes so lovely and sweet-warm.
