Sweet chestnuts roasting on an open fire

This is unusual and yet so strikingly familiar. There's a perfect balance of sweet chestnut, bitter flinty coal and smoky charcoal. It smells almost exactly like a wood fire with something sweet thrown in, almost to the point that you imagine yourself at home at Christmas watching Jimmy Stewart's faith being restored. This isn't as warm as Clarence's angelic wisdom but it's comforting and just lovely.

Winter-Wonderland

Wintertime - brisk air - smoke coming out of houses chimneys... I am walking in trough the streets in fresh fallen snow and listen to the sound the steps make. Once in a while i try warming my hands with my warm breath. Cars are driving by but they sound so quite and dampened. The street lanterns shine their yellow light towards a wooden hut. Peoples laughter gets louder but still strangely dampened. Glistening fairy lights are decorating the whole place. My friends are already waiting for me to take a toast. Flickering flames cast shadows on the walls .Its nice standing by the fireplace.

Art in the form of scent

First and foremost I do love this, not as much as Jazz Club, but still right up there. Do you know your audience when you wear this? While many might enjoy the scent, I have to be honest, it’s loud and strong, so go light if you are in an environment that will be dense with others, or smaller rooms because you will fill that room. The smoke is divisive for some, and the sweet amber vanilla with wood undertones is also pretty heavy. This is really more art than a practical reach. I think in winter, during the holidays, this scent will shine and have the most receptive audience, that’s when people will want this scent profile in the air. Again, be warned that at least 1 of 5 people will NOT like this scent, and that will be a STRONG dislike if they are forced to be in its proximity. Cheers all.

a winter night in

if your date is coming over on a cold winter night, spray this on.
spray it in your room.
spray it on your bed sheets.
this is exactly what it says it is. chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
vanilla cookies baking from the kitchen. utter cozy sweetness.
and this is all in the dry down -- after the smokey blast of burning cedar.
if Burberry London for Men is the festive going out scent for Christmas parties,
then Maison Margiela Replica - By the Fireplace is the stay-at-home scent for watching The Santa Clause

PS - as long as there's snow on the ground, this scent will do wonders.
