A fantastic lipstick scent (from someone who isn’t too fond of them!)
As someone that’s not big on powdery scents, I actually really enjoy this perfume. It aptly named and smells exactly like a tube of lipstick. It’s remarkable what notes can be thrown together in a perfume to create such a photorealistic and nostalgic scent.
While the scent is vanilla forward, it’s not actually very sweet. So if you’re looking for a saccharine sweet vanilla with this, you won’t be finding it. To me, it’s more powdery than it is vanillic, and I think it’s because iris is really the star of the show here.
The performance is moderate on this in both projection and longevity, and I think it’s a a very versatile scent that can be worn year round. It does smell very fancy, but I think you could wear this whenever and it would be fine. I’m happy to have a bottle, but I’m not sure if it’s a scent that I can reach for and wear often. I may decant some to keep for memories, and sell the rest.
