Finally Matcha
I am a big Matcha fan.
I love Matcha as a flavor in pretty much everything where you have the option to choose a Matcha flavor. So why not also smell like Matcha, I thought?
So off went the journey.
Blue Matcha by Montale? Somehow not really as matcha-like as I had hoped. Too bad.
Le Matcha by LeLabo? Somehow not really as matcha-like as I had hoped. Too bad.
Matcha & Fragipani by 4711? Somehow not really as matcha-like as I had hoped. WHAT A SHAME.
Alright, on to the next scent, Matcha Meditation by Maison Margela with a solid 6.6 rating on Parfumo, great. Somehow not really - HOLD ON. It smells exactly as matcha-like as I had hoped - YAY!!!
I don't quite understand why the reviews for this scent are so bad. Yes, it is quite sweet, but I always pour tablespoons of sugar into my Matcha as well. Maison Margela has applied this unhealthy but delicious little secret here too. To me, this really just smells like a sweet Matcha latte.
Perhaps the rating can be explained by the fact that the scent itself may not be as high-quality and well-balanced as the LeLabo interpretation, but it is exactly what I was looking for.

Habe ihn heute bekommen und sehe das genau so wie du. Einfach ein wunderbarer Matchaduft, genau so wie ein leckerer Matchatee auch duftet. Ich könnt darin baden :) Pur, rein, süßlich.
