When I smell "Rouge Intense," I think of the Giotto commercial with the guy in the checkered shirt who stubbornly wants to know if the little things go with tea.
Because in this fragrance, you can really smell the tea. It is surrounded by lush exotic flowers and served by a waiter who smells of well-groomed sandalwood soap, but it is tea.
And I think it is this tea that makes me feel that Rouge Intense, despite all its lush floral notes and woody warmth, is fresh enough to be more of a summer fragrance than a winter one. A fragrance that prefers to be outdoors in the fresh air when a gentle breeze caresses the skin. And it is a relaxed scent, not a hectic one like the commercial guy. An island fragrance, but it is a tropical island, not Sylt or Amrum. The flowers belong here, and the tea feels at home on the green mountain slopes.
By the way, it is not outstandingly elegant; you simply cannot walk well on sandy paths in high heels. A relaxed companion, but definitely with a recognizable character!
For me, it is a bit too tropical - Amrum suits me better than Tahiti. But I like it.
The clearly shaped bottle is only red on the back and adorned with a stylized, flower-decorated female head. Additionally, a half-spherical indentation viewed from the front creates a somewhat globe-like 3D effect. The sprayer is good, but the cap made of transparent red plastic unfortunately looks a bit cheap, even though the edges are carefully tapered to the glass body.
I had to laugh so much! That Giotto ad and the one from Ricola with the Finns in front of the sauna were the best things ever to flash across the screen for advertising. By the way, I prefer Amrum to Tahiti too. ;-)
