First great love
With my first steady girlfriend I went back then in my home to the small perfumery to get advice: It should be the big step from Axe Bodyspray to a "grown-up" fragrance.
The nice middle-aged lady told me a lot about different brands, occasions and fragrances. However, for the most part, this did not register in my 13-year-old brain. I was just there to dutifully hold my nose to different test strips over and over again and then finally make the big decision.
After 10 almost mind-numbing minutes, it happened...It was "that" moment when I had the strip with that scent in front of my nose that the words all faded out and the other scents completely disappeared from my brain. Bang Bang had me hooked. It's fresh
Since then, the scent has accompanied me through many more or less serious relationships and important occasions, through good times and bad, and has always given me a sense of home.
On the other hand, it also reminds me of numerous exciting parties and club nights and the morning after.
Without the "rose-coloured-glasses" the fragrance has of course its objective weaknesses and the notes are probably also nothing for every adult nose. For me, however, it is always a very special feeling to sniff the atomizer and let myself be carried back to youth, especially since this fragrance has been discontinued and the half-full bottle will probably be my last.
It's actually a beautiful metaphor for lost youth .... just like bang bang, all good things come to an end - and the gaze turns to the future.
