Grobmotor Barbershop
Barbershop respectively the fragrance category Barbershop is actually not mine, I can't do much with lavender. The only barbershop scent I like is a burning one from Durga. Nevertheless, I decided to write the first comment here, because I consider the MGO version to be very successful. It reminds me of a more crude invasion barbarian. I don't mean that negatively because the scent here is much cheaper and somehow more natural and less fine in its effect, but correspondingly expressive.
I find it exciting that the beginning is set by tart and exuberant lavender, the other top notes are just extras. A dried lemon appears after half an hour, but that's it. Here Barbershop appears relatively quickly rough and coarse. Gradually the vanilla comes out, which is gently smoky and reminds me of the vanilla in Memoirs of a Trespasser.
Unexpectedly, the fragrance becomes milder and returns to the beginning in its balance. The lavender remains herbaceous, appears rounder, which is due to the now absent aniseed note. At the beginning this had made the lavender appear harsh.
While you can now enjoy Barbershop in peace and quiet, the tonka bean is sublimely involved. In the further course, the vanilla takes over; subjectively, less would have been more but everybody has to judge this according to his own taste.
For connoisseurs of this type of fragrance, there may be completely different, more delicate works. For someone like me, who prefers other directions and thinks about a little variety for now and then, the MGO is just right, both olfactorically and financially. Finally evaluated, I would seriously consider MGO Barbershop if I wanted to have such a fragrance.
