Pure and Simple: Iris
The Floral Collection by Marks & Spencer is presented so unspectacularly on the lower shelves in stores that you might almost overlook it. And that would be a shame. The other fragrances that are advertised up top with a lot of glitter are not quite as good.
Iris is simply beautiful and beautifully simple. I am delighted every time I take my little bottle, which looks slightly frosted, in my hand and generously spray the contents around. Fine, powdery (who would have thought?!) iris, period. Of course, the longevity isn't quite excellent, as it's just an EdT, but the scent is so comforting that you can happily reapply it frequently. It definitely won't offend anyone else's nose.
The prices of the Floral Collection are quite an incentive (around €12 for 50ml) to pick one up on the go. If you ever find yourself in England, head straight to Marks & Sparks ;-) and grab one. The holiday budget can definitely handle it.
