Airy, fun, fluffy.
Yesterday I reviewed "Smoked Oud," which I discovered in Malta. And another Marks & Spencer fragrance made the journey home with me: "Warm Neroli." Its few reviews here have been abysmally bad, which surprises me at least as much as the scent itself. Incredibly light and fluffy, it perfectly complements my somewhat more citrusy and herbal summer fragrances. The fresh, floral opening of the Neroli, derived from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree, is initially accompanied by a light sweetness, making me understand why the fashion house associates it with the female gender.
However, the sweetness fades after about fifteen minutes, and in combination with warm, almost woody nuances, a balanced perfume emerges that maintains the perfect balance between freshness and warmth. "Warm Neroli" is - as the name aptly suggests - not the classic citrus refreshment, but rather a scent that seems perfect for a mild summer evening. At least it was able to showcase its qualities at 18 degrees Celsius in Malta at the beginning of February. All the more, I hope that my assumption will be confirmed on truly mild summer evenings...
Of course, it is not a complexity monster but truly an endurance beast! After twelve hours, it is still very present - a truly astonishing duration for an Eau de Toilette. Light, cheerful, and very pleasant - also in terms of price, which is almost embarrassing to mention again: €14.95.
