Cardamom-rose flanker
The topnotes remind me of the original Marni, this time the accent is more on cardamom than on ginger, but the effetct is similar: spicy, refreshing, new. When the lush notes of rose absolute and Bulgarian rose join in, the scent becomes more ordinary and loses its initial attraction. It develops into one of those extremely familiar, common contemporary rose-fragrances I can't tell apart. Everybody does a rose-flanker in 2013/14, think of "Rosabotanica" or "Hilfiger Woman Rose", "Cabotine Rosalie" or "Idylle Duet Rose-Patchouli" ( all of them released this year). This said, "Marni Rose" is quite a fine, light, rosy-red rose-fragrance, but I am not bothered.
