Beautiful scent - at the same time migraine in a bottle
As you can see from my review, I find the scent absolutely dreamy. Unfortunately, it triggers incredible headaches, nausea, and dizziness for me. But now a bit more detail:
I discovered Ylang in Gold through the lovely Reni from lenisscents on YouTube. She described it so vividly and beautifully that I couldn't help but buy a decant right away. I was so fascinated by the gold particles and the scent that I sprayed it on immediately. My first impression was incredibly positive, like a creamy explosion of flavors but much more versatile.
Scent description
I want to describe the scent here quite unprejudiced, because it really is great:
The top notes are not recognizable to me, but upon the first spray, the ylang ylang, coconut, and the beautiful vanilla stand out immediately, followed slowly by sandalwood and lily of the valley. The rest is more of an "aftertaste," where I can't distinguish the individual notes.
Sillage and projection are both good, as is the longevity, because you can smell the scent on yourself for ages.
And here comes my problem with the scent:
The combination of longevity, intensity, and I believe the notes in the top make the scent a candidate for headaches for me, and in a way I've never experienced before.
In fact, when I first sprayed the decant, I didn't think the headache was coming from the scent but simply from not drinking enough. Then today, in a perfume store, I sniffed through all the scents and got stuck on Ylang in Gold because, as I said, I really like the scent. Of course, I thought it would be good to take advantage of the 20% discount and take it home with me, so I sprayed it on my arm to wear it on the way home. What happens? I get a severe migraine, and I realize that it's coming from Ylang in Gold because even though I like it, the "aftertaste" described above rises to my head as if I have a thick rain cloud of Ylang in Gold in front of my eyes. I then returned it immediately and had to shower; after that, the headaches were almost gone.
Very, very unfortunate, now I'm of course on the lookout for similar scents, especially one with ylang ylang, so feel free to leave your recommendations.

I perceive Signature as fresher and more suitable for everyday wear. Not as refined, but pain-free.
