An idiosyncratic top note and a really great fragrance progression
My miniature of Jaclyn Smith's California Eau de Cologne really surprised me. The clove top note is strong at first, but the rest of the fragrance develops very nicely. The longevity on my skin is successful for an eau de cologne at around 8 hours and the sillage is also clear so far.
The top note exudes Christmassy and oriental-spicy aromas of a very intrusive clove, so that I also have to think of stomach bread. This is accompanied by a good sweetness of forest honey. This also makes it smell gourmand in parts. In the heart note, this Christmassy, oriental aroma becomes even sweeter and exudes aromas of cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Floral aromas such as rose water also resonate here. The base then smells beautifully and sweetly of bourbon vanilla and a little amber.
This is a fragrance that gets better and better as you apply it. It's really exciting!

The things you get out of the box. I've never seen this fragrance, let alone smelled it. Seems to be a rare drugstore fragrance.

@Scorpio Oh yes, you don't really seem to get that anymore 🙃 That's a really cool rarity 😄
