A great, refreshing, old-school chypre
Today I have once again found a special rarity among my vintage miniatures. Le Jardin de Max Factor (Parfum) | Max Factor" is largely unknown on Parfumo, so I'm all the more pleased to be able to present this special fragrance here. I really like the smell but unfortunately the performance leaves something to be desired. The longevity on my skin is 6 to 7 hours with a rather mediocre sillage.
The top note starts very fresh, green, citrusy and herbal thanks to tarragon, aniseed, mint and bergamot. The heart note then becomes very floral and soapy thanks to lily of the valley, tuberose, jasmine blossom, narcissus, ylang-ylang and magnolia. Iris and violet bring a beautiful powderiness to the fragrance. The base is carried by sandalwood, oakmoss, cedarwood and some musk.
For me, Le Jardin de Max Factor Parfum is a really beautiful, classic chypre. It's a shame that it's no longer being produced. The miniature can stay in my collection for now.
