A great, refreshing old-school Chypre
Today I found another special rarity among my vintage miniatures. The Le Jardin de Max Factor Parfum is largely unknown on Parfumo, so I am even more excited to present this special fragrance here. I really like the scent, but unfortunately, the performance leaves something to be desired. The longevity on my skin is 6 to 7 hours with a rather mediocre sillage.
The top note starts off exceptionally fresh, green, citrusy, and herbal thanks to tarragon, anise, mint, and bergamot. The heart note then becomes very floral and soapy due to lily of the valley, tuberose, jasmine, daffodils, ylang-ylang, and magnolias. Iris and violet add a lovely powderiness to the fragrance. The base is supported by sandalwood, oakmoss, cedarwood, and a bit of musk.
For me, the Le Jardin de Max Factor Parfum is a truly beautiful, classic Chypre. It's a shame that it is no longer produced. The miniature will stay in my collection for the time being.
