Soft cloud of roses

Surprise, surprise: here's a brandnew cheapie which smells really nice. Gourmand rose, lychee, vanilla and patchouli. A bargain. Available from the German drugstore "Rossmann" for the price of approx. 6 Euros. A sweet cloud of roses you can reapply throughout the day without remorse. Staying power is average, packaging&bottle too. But the scent is okay.

*My Lady* - a romantic fragrance

Rossmann itself writes about its new "My Lady" fragrance: "The noble and fruity blackcurrant in the top note mysteriously reveals the femininity of this sensual scent. In its heart, precious rose petals gently combine with lychee and davana, highlighting the elegant and feminine facet of this fragrance. Musk, vanilla, and patchouli form a seductive base."

Today I tested this limited fragrance and found it immediately pleasant and likable. Soft, feminine, delicate, lovely, alluring, and innocent, it presents itself. The name and the soft pink packaging are very well chosen. Such a strikingly friendly scent that even a saleswoman asked me what I had just sprayed on, as it smelled so fine.

Velvety, gentle rose, sweet-fruity lychee, and subtle vanilla with a hint of musk define this cheerful Eau de Toilette for me. I cannot perceive the blackcurrant and patchouli. The top note is lightly fruity and seductive, capturing my immediate attention. None of the ingredients stand out; everything is beautifully harmoniously mixed. The fruity scent does not smell edible, and the vanilla only provides a tender, warm sweetness; however, it does not remind one of fresh cake. And yet, it is also a light gourmand fragrance.

From time to time, I have tested Mel Rio Eau de Toilettes out of curiosity, only to find that I do not particularly like them. Persistence pays off, as "My Lady" makes a delightful exception. The longevity is rather short (2-3 hours), but you can constantly reapply this unobtrusive, feminine scent without annoying yourself or others. On the contrary, I enjoy the enchanting top note so much that I would like to smell it more often throughout the day.

An extremely affordable drugstore fragrance that I can particularly envision on young girls and women. "Girls kick Asses" girls will find this scent too harmless and nice. They will need to get sharper fragrance ammunition. Experienced perfume ladies will probably find it too girlish. In any case, it's worth a test spray. Limited editions are known to tempt one to hoard, so I will get a second bottle.
