About ginger and not quite legal fan heaters
During my studies I spent half a year in the north of Wales. I had only taken this one scent with me, with the aim of using it up. He was never my favourite in my then and now rather manageable collection. In the front row were always others that I preferred to wear at that time. My mother ordered it for me at Le Club des Créateurs de Beauté. The rehearsal appealed to me. A fine Oriental, distantly related to my then beloved Casmir of Chopard. I liked it. So I also got a 30ml bottle when I ordered it.

Looking at the pyramid of fragrances today, it's clear to me why he was never my favorite. The ginger. I never really got along with this tuber. Although he is very healthy and I am an endurance athlete, I just can't get along with his spiciness and sharpness. I don't like it in tea or as a condiment. You can't eat pure food. But in this fragrance he was well embedded by coffee, caramel, the passion fruit and vanilla, so at least he didn't get on my nerves for once.

I'll tell you who likes the Casmir could have liked the Insomny. They both swing somewhere between a light oriental and a gourmand. The coffee-caramel combination was implemented soo beautifully with the Insomny. Many of today's fragrances that play with this scheme (e.g. I Love New York for All and others) can't keep up at all. They usually come across as all too cute and sticky, which was not the case here. The fragrance is very feminine and mysterious. And the men like him, as I found out at that time as an exchange student, already in firm hands of my Mr. Pollito. There were one or two roommates and fellow students who liked to get closer to me and wanted to know what a great scent I was wearing. Some of them came so close to me so often that they clapped. Yeah yeah, the chicken could also pick if something didn't fit her ;)

If I still had it today, I would probably think of the castles in North Wales and of Mount Snowdon. What I have not experienced in this time and with this scent. I'll tell you a little story: It was freezing cold in our dorm. It was January and the radiators only started briefly 2-3 times a day. I've always been frostbitten and could hardly stand it. I had similar experiences with roommates of mine who came from Greece or Spain and therefore liked it even warmer and were used to it. So we helped ourselves with fan heaters, which of course were not allowed due to the exorbitant power consumption. Again and again there were room inspections, where all objects were confiscated that were not allowed (yes, even televisions). But we always managed to hide everything in time
No, I don't need this fragrance today, because this time is over and I like to keep it and the fragrance in my memory. Despite its small ginger disruptive factor, it was a beautiful fragrance, ahead of its time and would put a lot of things in this sector in its pocket today. Even though I always found it rather feminine, it certainly suits one or the other man quite well. I Like Insomny!
