First, thanks to Awin for giving me this sample so I can test this perfume.
Ginger-Musk! Musk in a combination I have never smelled before.
This scent starts with an intense fruity-sweet top note. The ginger only adds a slight sharpness in the finish. Ginger-Musk is not just loud; it practically roars a declaration of war into the world. A tiny spray and the entire apartment smells of it.
With the heart note, the battle of the giants begins. Berry accord and musk note initially deploy equally strong scent weapons. The ginger has been prematurely terminated by the two without regard for losses. The musk fights back animalistically against the intense berry sweetness. But after 45 minutes, you can sense who will win this battle!
The musk clearly emerges as the victor from this olfactory material battle. The musk note is less hairspray-like and more animalistic. No wonder! After such a battle, no one smells like the young day anymore, but rather like heavy physical exertion.
If this perfume weren't so incredibly powerful, I would find it good. The company Montale could easily turn Ginger-Musk into an Eau de Cologne, which would probably still send enough intensity into the ring.
Anyone who likes musk and sweetness in a fragrance will surely enjoy being defeated by Ginger-Musk.
