Intense Tiaré Montale
1
Holiday classic
Intense Tiaré is just that: An extremely loud, intense, everlasting tiare bomb. In my opinion this is one of the classics and reference scents when it comes to tropical florals. It smells like a beach holiday in a bottle!
Heaps and heaps of tiare, lots of ylang-ylang and a touch of freshly blooming jasmine make it smell like a traditional body oil extracted from flowers. If you remember the monoi products by Yves Rocher, this is very similar, but an obvious upgrade in quality. Maybe it's the subtle jasmine and rose that make it more sophisticated. Vanilla and coconut add some warmth to it, so the oily aspect of the scent doesn't become too sharp and overwhelming. As expected, they become stronger and stronger in the drydown.
Otherwise, this is a relatively simple and linear scent without surprises. If you want tiare, that's what you get, if you want something more complex with a little extra, look elsewhere.
I think this is a well-made and beautiful scent, but I also strongly feel that it wouldn't suit me. Almost like I'm too pale to smell that sun-kissed, even though I really don't believe in assigning fragrance by hair, skin or eye color. Guess I just like lighter forms of beachy scents for myself. Try it for yourself and see if you can handle it!
