Creamy Power

In my world, Parfum de Peau is a feminine power statement from the 80s. It has a longevity out of this world. I can smell it for days, even though I never spray more than once. Sillage is good. Meaning that it will not go unnoticed. Not everyone will like this scent, but one of the best features of this scent, compared to other 80s’ beauties is that the floral aspect is downplayed. This is more a spicy/woody/creamy fragrance. But do not be fooled. You will smell it for a long time.
All combined this is amazing but then again - it is from 1986. Perhaps you need to have lived in the eighties to fully understand the charm of these powerful fragrances, such as Loulou, Poison and Paloma Picasso. All of these, including PdP, are iconic for their stunning beauty and powerful expression - at least to me. And all of these are part of my teens.
One other thing about these four is that the bottles are masterpieces. With PdP I dare say that most women older than 45 will know the twisted column and recognize it without the name showing. I remember the first time I saw it in an ad. I thought it was a sculpture, not a perfume and I wanted to own it. Today I have the 100ml on display on my shelf most of the time, so that I can enjoy the design. And I have a sealed 30ml stashed away - in case of emergency.
