When I do my shopping round at dm, I occasionally glance past the perfume shelf, like today. I didn't expect too much from it... but still, Naomi Campbell has some quite decent fragrances (for example, I like Cat Deluxe At Night, Paradise Passion, and Wild Pearl), so I deemed Queen of Gold worth a test.
After spraying it on, I had to really strain to detect anything at all. Unfortunately, I can't recognize any of the promising, wonderful notes mentioned above. On the contrary, I first smell the sweetness of the pear, which then merges with a cozy floral note. Vanilla quickly follows, and just like that, the fragrance has fully unfolded.
Queen of Gold is not unpleasant, but completely insignificant, lacking any recognizability. I can hardly smell it on my skin; it has zero longevity. Perhaps that's why I can't appreciate the "quite nice" fragrance notes, as it disappears as quickly as it is applied.
