southern moments with Ingrid
Thinking about the comments on the three great fragrance ladies ("Michelle", "Madame de Carven" and also still with "Miss de Rauch" - there is always something to improve!) that have settled in my house and that go so well with the beginning autumn gold outside the windows, the bottling of "Ingrid" falls into my hands again.
Another golden, chypre-spicy "fragrant woman's room" and, at 1948, the oldest of these beauties.
Well, "Ingrid" - in contrast to the other three graces - does not come from upscale couture, but is quite on a par:
After testing it for the first time, the pyramid here seems a little slender to me; I would like to add something white-flowered (jasmine?).
"The fruits of the Hesperides" in the form of oranges, lemons and, of course, bergamots shine and convey the impression of the summery, sun-warmed south.
Lavender is also at home here: how pleasant it is to stroll through lavender fields with "Ingrid" on late summer afternoons.
The light becomes softer; not only the lavender flowers, but also the entire plant, breathes the aromatic power of the sunny day into the beginning golden twilight, while a hint of citrus caresses our skin.
Only the cicadas are not yet thinking in lavender-blue golden spheres; their concerts continue to resound.
Dark and earthy-rich patchouli rises from the ground and accompanies us; sandalwood's creamy animalic also joins us.
Well-being is in the moment and even oakmoss with its familiar spicy barbs belongs here! The result is a pleasant, very charming companion.
"Ingrid" was skillfully composed and, according to research, is marketed by the brand Morris, which is unknown to me.
From 1948 to 2024, 28 perfumes and eau de colognes are known and the fragrance designers listed there, Julie Pluchet and Paolo Cerizza, are not exactly unknown in the industry either.
I only discovered this, too, when I dug deeper to give this lovely and pleasantly rounded lady a little more fragrance contour.
It was worthwhile for me to deepen my acquaintance with "Ingrid".
I probably put some creations aside too quickly after my first acquaintance because I want to discover new paths into the land of fragrances again.
"Ingrid" also shows me:
The phrase "You always see each other twice!" once again proves to be true here.
So: "Hello Ingrid!"
