Interesting underdog from another universe
Homem Essence is a Brazilian fragrance, which is why it is somehow hard to find on our European market / continent.
I hunted him some time ago because I wanted to find in my greed scents that go in the direction of La Nuit de L'Homme. Simply because I like this mixture of cardamom, sweet and fresh notes so much...
Well, and with the perfume search for scents, I came across this "alien".
Apropops Alien, even the bottle looks a bit like from another star. A strange, spacy unibody, - as if melted from a single mould.
To the fragrance itself:
Homem Essence is for me a woody spicy, but also fresh citric fragrance. It somehow also creates a delicate impression of creamy almond milk, but this is not the main actor, - but more such a balsamic base.
In fact, the cardamom with the bergamot in the head reminds me sometimes briefly of La Nuit de L'Homme, especially when you smell very close to the back of the hand.
But then it is somehow independent, and not quite as high-quality as LNDL in appearance. If it were a La Nuit Flanker, it would be called "La Nuit de L'Homme - Young Summer Nights" or something, because it's a bit fresher and a bit... seems cheaper. D
A bit like a cross between La Nuit de L'Homme and Boss Bottled Tonic, if you can imagine it better. :)
But not in a bad way, so I am of the opinion there are many popular phenomena that are clearly more annoying and cheaper / worse, such as Acqua the Giò Absolu Instinct, - he does somehow something similar, but I find plumper and worse.
The durability and projection / silage of Homem is by the way quite usable, but also not better, and thus funnily enough at eye level with LNDL, - so very authentic. ;P
Homem Essence is all well and good at the end of the day, nothing you have to have urgently, but one or the other might like to have a bluish-fresh variant of LNDL that exists in another universe. ;)
