Not a Snob

After 18 hours, musk dominates, perhaps also incense - there are many different possibilities, and - as I see it: nutmeg in general. I simply cannot get past this impression. The slightly crackling elements keep reminding me that I should know/say what I am smelling. Oakmoss underlies the warmth and, as always, needs a touch of moisture to bloom anew. The perfume is still noticeably present for me as a wearer, and it should be more perceptible to others.

Chemistry makes no noticeable appearance at all. Surely there is some 'in there, otherwise the fullness of fragrance would not be possible at all.

In the middle part, lively impressions of herbs and spices alternate, heralded by a juicy scent of truly delicious orange/lemon.

New York is brown - one travels from Philadelphia there. Philadelphia stands in this flat area ice blue in the sky, then it goes through indefinable landscapes that all belong to someone -- entering is absolutely forbidden!--towards the Hudson, and again something stands steeply, but brownish. The Empire State Building has a pink touch and is much lower than one is led to believe. The gradient from the center into the inner circles is breathtaking. The brackish, muddy Atlantic remains simply and everywhere part of the city.

I cannot shake this impression either: For me, 'New York' is a nutty, spicy monster. But solidly good. A comparison with 'Aramis' is possible, but not meaningful.
