While Clifton comes across as quite resinous-sweet due to the fig, Vanille de Sambava has a gentler fruity note (pear). Still, this sweet vanilla combined with a salty beach note instantly reminds me of Clifton. Unfortunately, after half an hour to three-quarters of an hour, I do notice a bit of the bitter Baccarat note, but it doesn't bother me much here.
