Patchouli by Nothing Perfume is a beautifully matured patchouli oil. Anyone who has dealt a bit with pure patchouli oils knows the phenomenon that the oils (at least the good ones) only get better when you let them "age" for a while. In my youth (during my raven-black phase *laugh*), I often wore pure patchouli oils as perfume, and like a wine connoisseur, you can narrow down the origin and age over time.
Recently, I found an about 20-year-old bottle of patchouli oil in a long-unorganized box (unfortunately almost empty) - the oil inside had become very dark, thick, and sticky like syrup (until I managed to unscrew that cap....UARGHS!) but the scent was amazing! Warm, dark, deep, earthy, and totally intense, with that dry sweetness that reminds one a bit of chocolate. Heavenly! But unfortunately now empty - which once again led me to search for a nice patchouli perfume (not that I don't already have several *sigh* but just not ONE like that!).
After various scent tests, samples, and so on, Patchouli by Nothing Perfume came to me, and I must say, it is very close to my old find. Probably because it is an oil perfume - in any case, it is a warm, deep, earthy patchouli scent without much fuss and without scratchy tendencies. Round and ripe and deep golden brown it is: Beautiful!
