Just like that - just different
There are olfactory experiences that burn themselves in for a long time or are associated with a special situation. So it was the Eau de Toilette from Nuhi, which I got as a present at the GaoP 2013 in Berlin, sprayed some of it onto a large test strip and left it in my guest apartment for a few hours. When I came back, the whole room, in spite of many other rehearsals, sniffed pleasantly at Nuhi, a gentle spicy-floral-sweet mix of lavender, cardamom and tonka bean, combined with a subtle honey note. I was totally blown away by this positively attuned vibe and have forever imprisoned it in my memory.
I have written more details about this fragrance in the corresponding commentary.
Six years later the portfolio has developed a little bit further around an Oud variant. OK - the topic is not quite so topical anymore, if not outdated, but that has not necessarily made this eau de parfum worse. On the contrary, because it contains the same pleasant elements as the "normal", i.e. a finely balanced oriental mysterious aura between lavender, spicy and minimally woody notes, dipped briefly in honey plus a hint of oud, which becomes apparent late in the finish with the tonka bean and gives the whole a relatively dark finish.
So you shouldn't expect too much from the eagle wood. Oud enthusiasts will hardly get their money's worth with this variant, oud haters don't have to have any reservations, but they can stay with the normal Nuhi and most will hardly notice the difference at all.
Nevertheless, it is simply a beautiful fragrance, even if the aforementioned experience of that time cannot be duplicated 1:1.
