Sunbeams
Write poems
On warm earth
But only ginger steam
And clouds of incense
Fly higher
Than mammoth trees
Stretching their heads

Saffron and patchouli usually aren't my favorites either... Maybe there was a bit of oud in there too.

Haha, I'm not surprised. Too much artificial wood for you ;)

It was beautiful, but it didn't touch me...
Your statement, on the other hand, can do both.

Ginger steam can quickly give me a nose cramp if it gets too soapy.

Duchaufour occasionally creates some really amazing things. Sounds lovely with the giant sequoia.

I really appreciate his handwriting. If only he would invest more time in fewer fragrances...

My first thought was "Bertrand Duchaufour," and I was right :) Many of his fragrances have such a special transparent glow. Just like this contemplative, spicy scent with warm woods and ethereal incense.
