Rock Crystal is Different
The fragrances by Olivier Durbano are extraordinary. They are all named after (semi)precious stones and inspired by them. What they have in common is indeed a somewhat bitter, slightly mineral undertone that likely reveals the perfumer's signature. Furthermore, it is quite difficult to describe them.
Rock Crystal, the Bergkristall, is somewhat piercing, slightly sweet (orange blossom), spicy with a woody base. I also think I can recognize some fruity notes in between. A look at the pyramid clarifies the existing complexity. The scent, however, feels seamless. There isn't much development. The fragrance is quite bitter, but at the same time has something warming, very pleasant, and engaging. I find it easy to wear. I don't see the connection to rock crystal - I would have expected a sparkling coolness here instead.

Very accurately described. I also perceive it as spicy, warming, and a bit mineral-medical. Interesting, different. Trophy.
