The Rock Crystal Reinterpreted
The immediate statement from my olfactorily unblessed husband: Smells like an ice infusion in the sauna. Well, I’m not so gifted either, often perceiving the ingredient list a bit skewed and experiencing things quite differently than the masses. The masses here, the Parfumos, all those trained olfactory bulbs. My husband approaches it completely unpretentiously. Sprayed on and immediate reaction. Wonderful! And I must say, he’s somehow right. The Durbano brand was completely unknown to me, and I ordered it blindly after discovering it at Parfumaria. I like to do that, no risk no fun. Rarely am I not disappointed, new things don’t reveal themselves to me immediately, and I gladly crawl under the mantle of the familiar. But here: An immediate "Thank God" (not unbearable), then a hesitant "Wow," and after 2 days now an expanding enthusiasm.
Anyone looking for a rock crystal scent that somehow smells of ice, clarity, and freshness will be ruthlessly disappointed here. Rather, the rock crystal is the metronome of this fragrance. The bottle contains two such specimens, and it should be shaken well before spraying. The concept is familiar to me, but here it comes as somewhat unexpectedly surprising. But it works. On my skin, there is a scent that just brims with naturalness and nature. It is earthy, mountainous, dirty, rough, and yet refined. The hands dig through damp mud and soon crawl over withered steppes, grasses, and firmly grasp scorched bushes. A light smoke hovers over the pure nature, this idyll, this moment of pause. The ice infusion slowly melts over the smoldering fire in the first 30 minutes, the wood crackles, the heat rises. I sit right in the middle and enjoy this soothing calm.
I find the interpretation of the theme excellently executed. A fragrance full of naturalness and strength has emerged, with pleasant sillage and a wonderful longevity of about 8 hours. How lovely that there are still such jewels to discover. How lovely that this fragrance exists.

Very nicely described, I also smell less of crystals and more of the rough, untamed nature, which I really like.

Great comment .. especially your take on your blind buy activities ;-) Dunbano's fragrances are quirky and not really mainstream .. ALzD has discontinued them, but your tip about ParfuMaria is worth its weight in gold .. I’d love to try "Turquoise" >> Turpentine .. yikes .. Pokälsche!
