Uh oh, sounds absolutely drool inducing - why an 8 then? Poor execution of the scent profile? As in, not herbal and/or not spicy enough to make it distinctive and possibly a better option than either Andy's or Filippo's take?
@TheDunkPapa makes total sense, sometimes the "best of both worlds" approach ends up in indistinguishable products (nothingburgers). Especially if the perfmuer is aiming for a smooth, well-rounded wearing experience. We sure enjoy the spiky stuff. It's what makes a blend memorable and FB worthy in an ever-growing collection of stinkers.
I didn't pull the trigger on LNHMCMAIV because I get my cinnamon fix from CdS I, Luxor, Overture... but it's totally FB worthy.
I'd say the extremes of this scent profile do a better job at it. Sorcinelli is even dustier and spicier with a drydown reminiscent almost of grey soap flavored tobacco. Tauer's is even woodier and sharper with green aromatics in place of clove. This one is precisely in the middle. I like sharper, more unbalanced compositions more than middle grounds, as you know, though seeing this ranked as a 6,4/10 is extremely unfair, it's still VERY good.
