Classic Iris Gem
I’ve been searching for this perfume for quite some time after receiving a sample from the brand, and it’s even more captivating when sprayed on.

While some bright iris fragrances can feel dated, overly feminine, or too powdery, almost boudoir-like, this one strikes a perfect balance. It’s as refined as iris can be, yet remains distinctly masculine without the heavy animalic presence found in Iris Ghalia.

There’s a depth and complexity to it, with a subtle oud influence, but the real emphasis is on its luminous white facets, white cypress, white cedar, and the green, smoky hues of Hojari frankincense. The addition of Borneo kinam enhances the composition with a delicate white smokiness.

What sets this apart is its remarkable balance, everything is precisely where it should be, with no excess, creating a truly harmonious and immersive experience.

Great longevity and sillage, making it a stunning creation from Ensar. From what I’ve tried, this might be the only one that can rival IG.

The most underrated fragrance from EO in my opinion here....
Hello everyone,

oh LOVE Iris Blanc ...

Foreword:

You were one of the first of EO's I ever tested and back then (2023) I was just so SEMI excited. I wanted more! Louder! Stronger! More evil! And so you fell into a real absolute oblivion and I have to say straight away: PITY!
Now, at the end of 2024, I know the one I wanted to know and.... i wasn't looking for a steam hammer, but a clean EO that works with the great oud and something green and when I rediscovered YOU in September 2024 it was clear to me = I want you, I need you, I want a bottle.

And now I've finally got one!

__________

About the fragrance and what does it smell like?
In the first half hour, you are practically overwhelmed by a multitude of fragrance notes and accords. Cypress, which I LOVE, a gentle, slightly green and tart incense, plus tea, 1-2 flowers, the beautiful oud and the dreamy IRIS( -butter) at the very end.

After that, the namesake slowly and relatively noticeably reveals itself and immediately with the lotus and this combination with the still discreetly noticeable cypress is FOR ME an accord at the moment x = one of the most beautiful ever. The slightly green, woody and balsamic and a cool + clean IRIS ( -butter) = WOW!

Towards the end it becomes creamier in a different way than before and this is due to the sandalwood.

Can I say anything bad... NO!

Only - that in my opinion it is clearly too unknown and undervalued....,
but like everything, that's very relative + subjective.

H/S is good to good+
(varies a lot depending on the weather when you wear it)

How is it received:

EO's are not usually well received by the masses = this is because they are not made for "everyone", but are works of art that want to be seen as such. That's why there is no EO that is always 1a, BUT the Iris Blanc is one of the better and lighter ones (and not an animalic club like others).

When and where:

September to May/ June.
Indoors, please dose relatively sparingly (in the sense of max. 4/ 5).
And outside "just do it" ;)

In general...

It is and remains special and should be used as such, because otherwise its MAGIC may evaporate very quickly and using such an expensive fragrance almost every day = you can do it, but I advise against it, also financially...

Even my wife, a real HATER of real oud, thinks it's really great on the skin (and not on the sprayer)! That's why I recommend testing it on the skin and not just on the sprayer and/or on paper, because that way it might be 2 different fragrances = familiar Benny!
The dear money / the purchase price:

I am PITY to talk about whether a purchase makes sense or not, in this respect it is very relative and my views may not be like yours and vice versa... . From a purely commercial point of view (which I am, among other things) I can say = test it, then we'll see!
And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny

Pretty bright, this iris
Anyone who sprays on an Ensar Oud knows that there is no getting around the topic of oud. It is well known that the label is very popular with lovers of this ingredient and the question that most people ask themselves is how the eaglewood has been integrated into the overall composition.

Here in Iris Blanc, many other fragrances come to the fore alongside the iris, making the creation appear quite complex. However, at its core from the very beginning is the borneo oud, which greets you in a rather stale way, but then withdraws again shortly afterwards, leaving enough space for the other ingredients.

It becomes delicately sweet and floral, a little soapy, slightly woody, minimally citrusy and incense-like. I imagine iris butter absolute to be a more concentrated iris butter, which is normally produced naturally from the orris root in a rather complex process. Accordingly, you can smell the typical violet aromas and less of the powderiness that is usually associated with iris.

This is perhaps why the name Iris Blanc is used, to make it clear that you can expect a rather bright, violet-like and less powdery iris here. But that would just be a guess.
Later, as it dries down, a bit of sandalwood and tonka bean emerge, while the oud is still subtle and remains in the background, in contrast to the opening.

All in all, Iris Blanc is more a symphatic floral than an oud-heavy composition, more a violet-like than a powdery iris, more light than dark, more sweet than harsh, more long-lasting than sillage-strong and more unisex than assignable to any gender.

I think this bright iris will find a few more fans here.

An unusual iris fragrance?
Perhaps the most unusual iris fragrance is Iris Blanc. And I was finally able to test it thanks to Patrick. So thank you very much for the opportunity:)

For me, it starts with a beautiful floral note, which is accompanied by great woods and spices. But a light herbal note also comes through. Probably because of the cedar and tea, which is also in the top note. Shortly afterwards, however, a floral bouquet follows that could not be more beautiful and creamy. At this point, I can already detect a hint of tinka bean in the background. However, this is not at all sweet, but rather dignified and tamed. Many such factors make this work of art appear quite different from the fragrances that we are already familiar with. One example would be the Irisss by XerJoff. In the drydown, the EO becomes beautifully soft and creamy with gentle iris butter, borneo oud and sandalwood. Unfortunately, this softness is also somewhat reflected in the H/S. But it is still okay.

A really great iris fragrance. And a far cry from anything I've known before. So in my opinion definitely worth a test.
