Completely Underrated!
Long story short: wonderful timeless everyday scent for the whole year, for me the most balanced floral, powdery fragrance!

How do you best describe it without exaggerating?
Quite simply: As balanced.

I stumbled upon it completely by chance while testing in a perfume shop. I had walked past it countless times thinking, "Oh, it doesn't look like much - it probably won't be anything special!"
But then... we were wildly trying different scents and at some point a friend held this fragrance in his hand, sprayed it on the tester, and I sniffed...
Hmm, it's okay, I thought. But I noticed something very beautiful, although my nose felt overwhelmed. So I stepped outside for some fresh air and sniffed again. I was BLOWN AWAY!

That was my 'Aha' moment and I knew - you will be joining my collection.

You are briefly greeted by a gentle yet spicy fresh note.
Directly after that comes lavender and myrrh.
And at the end, you get a very fine, non-intrusive sweet little vanilla. An incredibly balanced combination, nothing is overloaded. A harmonious interplay.
The entirety of the scent notes, the lightness, the unpretentiousness, the versatility.

I didn't buy the bottle that day... I regretted it.
I constantly found my face practically glued to my arm to smell this wonderful scent again. The fragrance stayed in my memory. I developed more and more affection for it.
And now? What can I say, I got the bottle for an unbeatable price - so of course, it moved in.

Longevity: you will enjoy it for at least 7-9 hours.
Sillage: not room-filling but noticeable about 1 meter behind you.
Oh, and you don't have to be too stingy here; at that price, you can handle it pretty well. 5 or 6 sprays should be fine.

It's definitely not a must-buy for everyone, but certainly worth a must-try!

Freshness in a Bottle
The Asabi NO.5 is probably the best in its line.

Starting with a truly beautiful bottle that gives me the feeling it glows.

Up to a nice packaging, which could have been a bit more "luxurious" for this price.
However, there was no skimping on the bottle, beautiful design.

The highlight for me is definitely the absolute best spray head I have ever had on a bottle.

The scent opens up to me in the form of fresh lavender.
After a while, the tonka bean-myrrh emerges, and in the end, a beautiful vanilla note remains.

I can wholeheartedly recommend everyone to try this scent; it is one of the only floral fragrances I would wear as a man.

Really a beautiful scent.
In a beautiful bottle.

The Man Who Dares to Wear the Flower
I was able to snag Asabi 5 at a great price, so my cost/performance conclusion is very positive. If you can get it for 60-80, then in my opinion, you have a "more robust" Tonka Myrrh.
I couldn't test the scent anywhere beforehand, but Jo Malone is a bit lighter to find... so that has to serve as the already touted comparison.
When I finally had Asabi and could compare, something became clear to me for the first time: "You don't even like lavender!" I must say, my parents' house had lavender in the garden and... it was too much for me... one person's love is another's kryptonite.
But back to Asabi; now it has arrived. With Jo, the lavender was secondary, in my opinion. It gives a bit of polish, it's noticeable, but it only supports the sweet vanilla myrrh scent. Now I have to hope that I have a twin or at least even less lavender.
But: The opposite has happened; the lavender is very much present... yet again: Now I suddenly like lavender?!? Am I just justifying my purchase by convincing myself?!?
Not at all.
The lavender is present but not overwhelming. Here I find it happens the other way around: The vanilla, tonka, and myrrh are doing the supporting work.
They round it out and sweeten it, making it palatable. And suddenly I became the type who enjoys wearing floral scents. I have certainly heard from women that both rose and lavender can become absolute highlights when worn by men.
In my opinion, the 5 does this. And here I would actually say: Men for Asabi, women for Malone... but of course, it works the other way around too.
Longevity: Very good, 8 hours safe, prefers cold weather.
Sillage: Noticeable, but I wouldn't overspray... it is still lavender -> not everybody’s cup of tea.
The bottle and sprayer are top-notch.
If you like Jo Malone and see it here for a better price: ...I would go for it.

Masculine? No, for me it's rather feminine
No.5 is a really beautiful fragrance that lasts a very long time on me, you can perceive the scent on clothing for almost 2 days.

At the beginning, the scent is very herbal/spicy, until it becomes floral and sweet.
Through the opening, I thought it was a scent for my husband...

But if you give the fragrance some time, it develops really beautifully. It then transitions to lavender, until it finally arrives at a sweet vanilla.
The lavender scent is deep, herbal/intense, but not unpleasant.
Even when the fragrance reaches the vanilla, you can still perceive a slight lavender-myrrh note.

One should perhaps also mention the spray head. The spray is strong and long-lasting, so you don't have to pump much, and applying it is really enjoyable.

I belong to the Oversprayer team.

A Surprise Hit with Magnetic Appeal
Number 5 Intense by Asabi is one of those fragrances that catches you off guard - but then it lingers. Although marketed as a unisex scent, it demonstrates a remarkable attraction to women in practice. The fragrance is powerful without being overpowering, with a modern depth that combines both masculine and feminine nuances.

What stands out particularly: women respond strikingly positively to this scent. It’s not uncommon to hear a curious “What are you wearing?” - and that’s exactly what makes no 5 Intense so exciting. It’s not a loud show-off, but a charismatic seducer in the background.

It moves in an oriental-spicy direction with woody depth and a pleasant, very slightly fruity freshness at the opening. Not a typical designer fragrance - but a charismatic all-rounder with recognizability.
Longevity: excellent - easily 8 to 10 hours
Sillage: present, but never overwhelming
Conclusion: Those looking for a stylish, unobtrusively striking fragrance that impresses both in everyday life and in the evening will find it here. Number 5 Intense by Asabi is a real insider tip - especially if you value positive reactions.
By the way: it is quite comparable to Joe Malone myrh tonka

Lavender swings the powder puff,
wants to cuddle with myrrh and almond.
Remains cool and won't be a rendezvous.

Tough heaviness with a festive touch. Almonds, honey, and herbal notes. Feels wonderfully warm and Christmas-like to me. Used with care, it's wonderful.

Amber-oriental with a powdery-spicy profile. Lavender and myrrh lead into a warm tonka-vanilla depth.

Very similar to myrrh and tonka! If you like heavy and sweet scents (+ all the notes in the pyramid), you'll be very happy with this one.

The spicy-warm, balsamic sweetness is covered by a slightly herbal lavender veil (for balance)
I find it sensual

Vanilla and almond are very prominent at the start, lavender slowly comes to the forefront, but unfortunately I detect a disturbing "rubber note" in my nose.
