The First Time
The first time Orto Parisi and right away the green Viride. A truly great fragrance, it is very well done, it smells high-quality, fresh and green, just the way I like it.
I smell fresh mint in the opening, herbs, and later noble woods join in.
Acquired here in the souk at a fair price, I was incredibly excited about this fragrance.
However, I expected much more from the performance of an Orto Parisi.
Longevity and sillage are, with good will, just mediocre.
After 4 hours, the scent is hardly even detectable on my skin.
This really leaves me astonished. Orto Parisi is often described in reviews as "beast mode" and written about as such.
The fragrance itself is fantastic. Those who like green scents will enjoy Viride.
Maybe I just had bad luck with my bottle. I will probably seek out a decant and compare.

Interesting observation regarding H/S. I have a similar experience. I hardly notice it after a few hours... but the people around me do! It happened again recently with Bergamask. This brand always seems to have that effect.

Viride is one of the best Parisis for me precisely because it's not as overpowering as the others.

Great review. You got the bottle from me, and while it wasn't a beast in the sillage for me, it held up well. Maybe your skin doesn't like it? I've noticed that phenomenon with Alex2. 馃榿

Yes, a really lovely scent. But unfortunately not strong. At least not my bottle. I鈥檒l get a sample for comparison. Maybe I just had bad luck.

I see it the same way as Finster. For me, it also has very noticeable longevity and sillage. Great green fragrance.
