Addictive

It's a spicy rose scent with a very dry character because of saffron. There's more spices like cinnamon and pepper maybe. The ambery base with a touch of patchouli are perfect. It smells very natural and well blended. High quality ingredients in my opinion. Nothing close comes to my mind for this original fragrance.

Overall, it's simple but round and deep, very addictive. Performance is very good, however I get nose fatigue.

Oscar Perfume award winner by the way.

A fine one......

.....With roses and wood. And you can find it in some African shops. However, the way it is "made," it has nothing "typically African," as I imagine all sorts of spices and exotic flowers.
It is an almost banal-sounding saffron-rose-wood scent, but appearances can be deceiving. First of all, it has good longevity and sillage, both of which I rate at about 8.
Then it is not sweet like many of its kind; the saffron is slightly "grim" (at least at first), the roses are herb-fruity-floral, like "old varieties" or wild roses. The wood is very fine and very "sandy," like powder dispersed in the scent, a strong shot of patchouli reminds one of good earth. A "mature" scent for both genders. And yet, it is neither showy nor a "clumsy" fragrance, as in its strength there is definitely something fine and casually elegant.
I can just imagine people in light linen clothes casually strolling through a shopping street on vacation, taking their time, sitting outside at a café, amusedly observing all the hustle and bustle around them, then wandering through all the little alleys in the area and discovering interesting sights... and being greeted by all sorts of beautiful scents that remind one of a lovely, old country house...
And with "Couture pour Homme," they certainly stand out without "standing out"....
A contradiction? No, a scent..... a very fine one.
