Fruity and Bright
If this review is somewhat shorter, it is not because there is nothing to say about Thailand Oudh. On the contrary - I perceive a great complexity, yet I find it difficult to describe. One might very roughly choose the designation "bright woods" - very beautiful, aromatic, cozy, and radiating a kind of calmness, similar to the scent of old furniture.
Moreover, Thailand Oudh can be described as fruity and perhaps even floral. I detect hints of dried fruits, but also fresh fruit, mirabelle plums. The light, fruity acidity is never intrusive, but rather invigorating. It is balanced by a slight sweetness. There is some development, and towards the base, I perceive slightly medicinal fruit notes - cassis or cherry liqueur?
I like Thailand Oudh a lot; this consistently friendly, fruity side is simply enjoyable. When compared to Western oud perfumes, Thailand Oud is closer to the honey- and tobacco-like oud scents from Micallef (Aoud Gourmet) than to the dark Montales like Black Oud. In comparison with Arabic scents, I see a resemblance to the sweet, musky direction or to a beautiful Mukhallat. Perhaps Thailand Oudh would be particularly interesting for women.
