A rather delicate opening, very airy citrus, subtle bergamot peel, just as pronounced lavender, with orange being more of a background accent.
It all somehow smells like freshly washed polos at a holiday resort after disembarking from a cruise ship. This means: fresh, definitely not artificial-cheap, but also quite conservative, discreet, playing it safe.

After about 30 minutes, cinnamon slowly and calmly joins in, in a very fresh way, along with cardamom (a bit weaker) and a gentle sea breeze. This only further enhances the impression mentioned above.

It then becomes sweeter, with cardamom becoming more prominent, tonka bean and musk starting to hint at themselves after 1 hour, and the whole thing (unfortunately) takes on a bit of a shampoo character.

It will have its corresponding audience, it's okay, nothing feels cheap or even biting (quite the opposite), but (not surprisingly) it's not for niche noses. ;)

I was made aware of Panama Sport during a fragrance consultation. Although I liked it quite a bit, I wasn't 100% convinced at the time - my nose was a bit fatigued - and I decided against a purchase for the moment.
However, the consultant was so convinced that the scent would really suit me and was so enthusiastic about it that it stayed on my mind for the next few months, and I just had to test it again, "there must be something to it," I thought.
And indeed, (similar to my predecessor) during the second testing - this time with a clear nose - I was suddenly totally taken with it. My first thought was: "This is an amazing companion for everyday life." The aquatic touch and the orange note that I perceive make it wearable in summer, and the lovely unobtrusive spiciness from the cinnamon and heliotrope also makes it a great choice in colder seasons. At work, it is subtle enough not to be intrusive but still present enough that I smell good for eight hours. And although I usually don't care about this aspect, since I wear a fragrance for myself and not for others, I have received more compliments for Panama Sport than for any other fragrance so far.
In my collection, I never want to have more than 7 fragrances at the same time, so it always takes ages for me to decide on a scent. It has to evoke images, appeal to me, stand out from the others in the collection, blah blah, all that stuff... Boellis 1924's creation has managed to do just that, and I am really happy with it :)

A strange thing, this Panama Sport. And it's not just because "Sport" has once again been used completely senselessly.

As the winner of the Turbobean perfume lottery, I had the pleasure of testing this scent. Until now, the entire brand had passed me by unnoticed. Unjustly, as it turns out.

The first description already hinted at where the fragrance journey was heading. And yet, I was a bit confused at the beginning: You expect a visit from Jean-Paul with his Le Mâle, open the door, and there's a completely different person standing there. It's Wolfgang with Joop Homme. I really didn't see that coming, but yes: Clearly with some citrus, plenty of heliotrope, and a pinch of cinnamon - that's him! Haven't seen him in ages and he's a bit more mature now. Well then, come in and let's indulge in old memories.

An hour late, he finally arrived. Jean-Paul, the old charmer. Not any younger, but still young at heart. And while Wolfgang unfortunately had to leave shortly after, Jean-Paul stayed surprisingly long with his fresh-sweet demeanor. Until early evening, there was an abundance of lavender, mint, and vanilla-tonka.

Such a strangely unexpected reunion. Somehow familiar, somehow more grown-up. Kind of like a class reunion - but in a good way. Thank you, Turbobean, for the organization!

I deleted my previous comment on this fragrance. We didn't have the best start. It was cold and rainy outside and, as is often the case in this weather, I was wearing Green Irish Tweed. When I wear that, it lingers in my nose for a long time and the sample of Panama Sport was just a distraction. Everything felt a bit overwhelming … but interesting.

Of course, an interesting fragrance deserves several chances from me. And one evening it was time again: A spritz on my left wrist and off I went on a journey through lavender fields and orange groves, carried by gentle sandalwood and sweet tonka bean.

Wow! It's not that irritating at all. Maybe it hurts a little at first. But soon I was reminded of an old acquaintance: Le Mâle by Gaultier. Specifically, the version from back then. Not yet so polished and definitely more performant than today's version.

Practical tests are still pending, but I suspect that the briefs will just be whizzing around my ears.

This is a fragrance to lean into, to enjoy, to get close to, to stick to the neck and let it do whatever it wants, as long as you can just sniff a little.
