Bitter sweet dervish (darWISH) dance

Great perfume. Very surprising for me, because it doesn't remind me of anything similar. Resins, incense in a bitter-sweet version. Somewhere you can also feel notes of tobacco, some leather, wood. Gem from Sicily

Out of pure curiosity, I ordered all three extrait samples from PantaRei. Not exactly cheap compared to the full bottles, which are already available for €97/50 ml. Shipping is a flat rate of €15, regardless of whether it's a 2ml sample or a bottle. Made with love in Sicilia, well, it was hard for me to say no.

About the scent: the overall fragrance profile is sharply defined. Clear contours, nothing is mushy or opaque. Impressive, as I have mainly experienced this with Amouage so far.

The oud in the opening comes through clearly, friendly, and balanced with a floral-spicy touch, a real delight. After 20 minutes, it becomes woodier, with the spiciness increasing. A melange of tobacco, balsam, and leather forms, reminiscent of MEYDAN. Overall, I immediately thought of AlAreeq Silver, which has a similar leatheriness. However, here an impressive smokiness emerges, which I have not experienced in any other perfume. It's quite difficult to describe because it is so authentically smoky without being overpowering. Equally clear and impressively real is the leather note: I have some pieces in my book collection from the 18th century, whose leather bindings smell similar.
So definitely interesting for leather enthusiasts. It probably shines best on a robust gentleman beyond the age of 35-40, in my view.
In the drydown, everything becomes a bit milder and especially a bit sweeter and resinous. Nevertheless, this is not a sweet fragrance at all!

H/S: brutally lush and long-lasting. Here you get a strong performance that can last 24 hours before it disappears.
