Beautiful and strong parallels to one of my favorites
Kaya has completely convinced me.
I love this DNA, which I must admit feels very familiar. I briefly had to think until I stumbled upon my beloved Tonka Bodykon. Then I saw that this fragrance was classified as similar, and I can confirm that 100%.
Therefore, it was not difficult for me to like the Kaya from Parfums d'Elmar.
Like the Tonka Bodykon, the Kaya has a wonderful sweetness. A sweetness that is never too strong, but at the same time never too weak.
A contemplative, seductive sweetness that comes across as totally elegant and radiates a certain seriousness.
Additionally, the fragrance has this wonderfully creamy element and also has a great hint of rum. However, the rum never comes across as alcoholic. It simply gives the fragrance a great aroma or flair.
At the beginning, the Kaya is also slightly fruity. I must say, though, that this characteristic is relatively subtle in my opinion.
Here and there, a bit of apple can be caught, but after a few hours, I can no longer perceive it.
The super beautiful tonka bean that is already recognizable during the course becomes more intense towards the end. Along with that comes this amber-vanilla mix and the rum accord mentioned above, which has been used and crafted very well.
Admittedly, I cannot recognize the floral accords listed in the heart note in my sample at all.
For me, it is simply a wonderful gourmand in which all notes have been wonderfully processed, making everything feel coherent.
In terms of price, this fragrance is of course intense, but I just love this DNA. It captivates me.
Nevertheless, the 31 Tonka Bodykon by Pierre Guillaume would actually be the better alternative, as it essentially does the same thing and is also available at a lower price.
It costs less than the Kaya and also has a larger volume.
In terms of points, I give it a 9.5.
The Tonka Bodykon received a 10 from me back then, and in comparison, I find the Tonka slightly rounder towards the end.
But that's all a matter of taste, and there are only nuances that lie in between.
You can definitely give the Kaya a try. It simply smells super good!
Yes, amazing! I had the 31 Tonka Bodycon by Pierre Guillaume in mind too, but I find the Kaya a bit finer and rounder. As you said, not really worth the extra cost.
