Beautiful and strong parallels to one of my favorites
Kaya has completely won me over.
I love this DNA, which admittedly seemed very familiar to me. I had to think for a moment until I came across my beloved Tonka Bodykon. Then I saw that this fragrance was classified as similar here and I can confirm that 100%.
So it wasn't difficult for me to like Kaya by Parfums d'Elmar.
Like the Tonka Bodykon, the Kaya has a wonderful sweetness. A sweetness that is never too strong, but at the same time never too weak.
A contemplative, seductive sweetness that is totally elegant and exudes a certain seriousness.
The fragrance also has this wonderfully creamy element and a great hint of rum. But the rum is never alcoholic. It simply gives the fragrance a great aroma or flair.
At the beginning, Kaya is also slightly fruity. However, I have to say that this characteristic was played out relatively discreetly in my opinion.
There is a hint of apple here and there, but after a few hours I can no longer detect it at all.
The super beautiful tonka bean, which is already recognizable during the course of the fragrance, becomes more and more intense towards the end. In addition, there is this amber-vanilla mix and the rum accord mentioned above, which was used and designed really well.
Admittedly, I can't recognize the floral accords listed in the heart note at all in my bottling.
For me, it is simply a wonderful gourmand in which all the notes have been wonderfully processed, so that everything seems coherent in itself.
In terms of price, this fragrance is of course intense, but I simply love this DNA. It just grabs me.
Nevertheless, the 31 Tonka Bodykon by Pierre Guillaume would actually be the better alternative, as it basically does the same thing and is also cheaper to buy.
It doesn't cost as much as the Kaya and also has a larger content.
In terms of points, I give it a 9.5.
The Tonka Bodykon got a 10 from me at the time and in comparison I find the Tonka a little rounder, especially towards the end.
But that's all a matter of taste and there are only nuances in between.
You can definitely try the Kaya. It just smells super good!
