Floating backwards in the sea
becoming foam
a glance through salt-speckled lashes
into dazzling light
From the mainland
the scent of rock & maquis

Aquatic and pleasant has always been a contradiction for me, but here it’s resolved.

A wonderful example of how beautiful aquatic scents can be when you think outside the usual patterns. It's now stirring my desire to have it, but also making me want to put on some floaties and splash around in the Atlantic. 🛟

You’ll have the pleasure soon! 🏖️🌞 I prefer my Azemour, but this one is definitely getting close (and very welcome) with its beautiful images. Lovely house. And a nose I’ll remember from now on.

I'm not really a fan of aquatic scents either, especially algae, which can be very tricky, but it seems to work here.

Thank goodness the seaweed here is just crispy and salty instead of wobbly & fishy.

I think so too. Nothing here smells obviously synthetic, which is also noticeable in its longevity.

Since I practically still have salt on my skin, your words really resonate with me. I'm usually not a big fan of aquatic scents, but this one seems different.

Corticchiato is one of my favorite perfumers. And if I could only wear perfumes from one brand for the rest of my life, I would choose PdE.

I just noticed: he lives with you. The PdEs have been very appealing to me so far. Corticchiato's creations seem worth testing every time, and the Belle Rives is great too.

An aquatic scent that even gives my water-fearing soul a few webbed toes. The mineral aroma of sunlit stones, moss-covered rock crevices, salty seaweed, and frothy surf. Floating on my back in the sea, carried by the waves, with a lemon-yellow sun above me. The wind brings the scent of the maquis, the mainland: immortelle, juniper. Ever since Azemour, I’ve known: Corticchiato can conjure coastal impressions that stray from typical aquatic pitfalls. While Azemour smells like the sea from the mainland, in Scandola, you can smell the mainland while drifting in the sea, letting a second skin of salt crystals form and your hair float like a carpet of seaweed on the water's surface.
