Well mannered

Eau de Gloire is a spicy cologne that goes from green-aromatic to dry woody-tobacco. It cleverly bypasses the usual over-the-top masculinity and other clichés of the cologne genre, but also does not really push any boundaries.

The spicy notes are pleasant and interesting, but a little edging to culinary flavors. A bit like cumin without the sweaty effect. The tea and tobacco notes keep the scent on the dry woody side and faintly smoky. Longevity is good for a cologne; for a cologne with EDP concentration? Still okay. From the start the sillage is medium to low, I'd say.

A top quality cologne with modesty and good manners. Recommended for casual and evening wear in spring/summer.
