Oud can be smelled - but don't expect oud like in Oud for greatness. This is not a heavy oud. It's an oud for people who don't actually like oud.
The cardamom and pink pepper one smells between through again and again, but they are not intrusive or too much.
My girlfriend also wears Layton incredibly happy and I am also of the opinion that can also wear women.
